Our little man is already 9 months old!! It’s hard to believe. This past week I switched all of his clothes over to size 9-12 month. I think he weighs around 22lbs, but his 9 month appointment isn’t for another 2 weeks, so we’ll find that out then.
I know I saw this every month, but I can’t get over how different Abbie’s and Ben’s personalities are. Ben is SO free with his smiles. He grins at absolutely everyone. He’s a much more content baby than Abbie ever was/is, which is probably why he’s still not crawling. I’m not in any rush for him to crawl since that will make my job that much harder. I like that I can plop him in the middle of the floor, surround him with toys, and he’ll be perfectly happy until he’s hungry, tired or needs to be changed. Sometimes he’ll roll around and he gets around pretty well just rolling. Abbie started crawling and pulling herself up and doing a little cruising all within 2 weeks, so it’ll be interesting to see if Ben does that also.
Ben likes his food. He gets very impatient when he’s waiting for you to feed him. He’ll drink 2-3 8oz bottles a day, and he’s getting 3 meals a day also. I’ve been feeding him more finger foods lately too. I’ll cut up whatever we’re having for lunch or dinner into tiny pieces and he’ll feed them to himself. He likes pieces of cheese, or lunch meat, or fruit. He still won’t hold his own bottle, but sometimes he’ll hold his own sippy cup. He gets very excited when we drink anything in front of him and always tries to grab at it, but he hasn’t quite figured out how to drink from a cup yet.
He’s still taking 2 naps a day usually. I don’t let him sleep for more than an hour in the morning, and he’ll sleep from 2-3 hours in the afternoon. He’s usually in bed by 8:30pm and gets up between 7:30-8:30am. Most of the time he’ll sleep through the night and he still sleeps with his paci and his little cow blanket.
Ben loves to be outside. If we take him over by a window and then walk away, he’ll start to cry. If we go by the door while holding him and then not go outside, he really cries. He loves just sitting in the grass watching the world (or dogs) go by. He is also very fascinated with fans, particularly ceiling fans. Even if they’re not moving, he stares at them.
He still just has his bottom 2 front teeth, but I think his top ones might be coming in soon. He’s started clapping recently and he makes the cutest sound when Mark walks in the door after work. I love his little boy noises.
And for your comparing pleasure, Ben is on the left, Abbie at 9 months old is on the right.

I love the baby comparison!
Callie is obsessed with food now, she kind of freaks out if we don't share. =)
