Since I’m way behind on my pictures I’m putting them up like this. These correlate with Jamison’s arrival post, but I’m just making a separate post with all the pictures from my dSLR. The other pics on that post were from my phone.
Yes, Mark wore shoes to the hospital. This was taken before we left for the hospital the first time. The second time I probably would have been flipping the camera off and bent over in pain and I sure as heck wouldn’t have been smiling.
We didn’t get any photos other than the few on our phones of his arrival. These were taken after he was in the NICU.
Our squishy little pink newborn.
Above is where Jamison spent his first 4.5 days of life and I spent the majority of my time in the chair Mark is sitting in holding him. If they hadn’t had a nesting room available for me after I got discharged, I was fully prepared to sleep in that chair as well.
Below are the kiddos meeting Jamison for the first time. Abbie was in love at first sight and Ben was afraid of him. I’m glad they made the exception for us to have all of us in his little bay. It was nice that they lifted the 2 visitor limit so the kids could meet him before he was almost a week old.
Our first photo as a family of 5!
It was tough having him in the NICU for a few days, but they took good care of him. Just stinks trying to hold and nurse your newborn when he’s connected to a bunch of monitors. In a way, it made me interested in being a NICU nurse, but apparently I think that about any kind of nursing I’m around. It’s a lot easier looking back on these pictures than it was being there. I’m glad it’s over with!
